For the second year in a row, MGI has been awarded the DuPont International Packaging Innovation Award for his JETvarnish 3D technology and its entire range of equipment, through the prestigious "Diamond Finalist Award 2017".
MGI Digital Technology, world leader in digital finishing equipment, has been awarded for “its technological leadership“, “its low environmental impact" and "your superior user experiencer”.
With the award of this award, the jury of the 29th edition of the DuPont Packaging Innovation Awards, chaired by David Luttenberger, Packaging Director of the Mintel Group, wanted to congratulate the French manufacturer for "the excellence of its innovations for the finishing of packaging and labels, which represent a true revolution for digital printing”. In its ruling, the jury stressed that they had “been impressed by the simplicity of JETvarnish technology in performing operations that until now were very complex, such as the application of UV varnish in relief, embossing and hot foil”, performed online using a single computer”.

Among the elements that led the jury to award the JETvarnish technology, “the fact that it makes available to users finishes that until now were complex and expensive, in containers and labels produced in short and medium runs, at a clearly lower cost than traditional technologies thanks to the absence of tools, and thanks to accurate registration from the first sheet with the AIS scanner, which uses artificial intelligence”.
